A TEASPOON OF SHAKESPEARE
Kindergarten through Fourth Grade

Donna Guthrie is available to present A TEASPOON OF SHAKESPEARE, a free program for your classroom, library, bookstore, or homeschool group. This private, just-for-your-classroom virtual presentation is similar to in-person author visits. It begins with a short power-point introduction to the playwright William Shakespeare.

Students will learn about Shakespeare’s plays written over four hundred years ago but still performed worldwide. Young writers will be introduced to some of the words Shakespeare created that are still used today. Mrs. Guthrie will read her new book, FLIBBERTIGIBBETY WORDS, Young Shakespeare Chases Inspiration, and answer questions about the writing process of taking an idea to the printed page.

Before the visit:

1. Send me an email via Donna’s contact form, two weeks in advance. Available dates are flexible. Set a time and date convenient for your classroom, school, library, bookstore, or homeschool group.

2. Please order a copy of FLIBBERTIGIBBETY WORDS, Young Shakespeare Chases Inspiration in advance from your favorite independent bookstore or Amazon. Mrs. Guthrie will provide a bookplate for each purchased book.
